Treatments helping Infertile Males to Achieve Fatherhood
Every man dreams of playing soccer with his child, teaching his kid all kinds of tricks but when even after trying for over a year the results are unfavorable, the dream starts slipping away. The main responsible organ for sperm and testosterone production are the testicles. Sometimes the causes of infertility in males are unknown or unexplained; if this happened to you then you are in the right place. In International Fertility Centre, our team of highly qualified doctors and cutting-edge labs will help you figure out the problems so that you can experience the joy of parenthood. Testicular biopsy has been rudiment for identifying the cause of unexplained infertility in males.
Testicular biopsy is used when:
- The absence of sperms in the semen sample or Azoospermia.
- No hormonal disorder
- Determination of the cause of infertility.
- If there is a lump in testes, this test will determine the location and its condition
International Fertility Centre’s team of urologists makes sure that you don’t undergo major distress during the procedure. The Clinical procedure will not take more than 20 minutes and you may experience mild discomfort during it. The procedure is done under the influence of local anaesthesia and a small piece of tissue is retrieved, which will be investigated by pathologists for blockages in vas deferens, quantity and quality of sperm count.
How PESA/ TESA helps Infertile Males to Achieve Fatherhood?
PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) is a technique for an infertile male in which the sperms are retrieved with low sperm count in the semen sample. In the procedure for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), PESA is used to collect the sperms. In International Fertility Centre, this procedure is done under the close observation of Urologist who is specially trained for this. A needle is injected directly into Epididymus and the sperms are gathered. You may experience mild discomfort during the procedure but the procedure is done under the effect of local anaesthesia.
TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) is a procedure for male infertility in which a needle is injected directly into testis and then semen is congregated through a syringe. Under the mentorship of Dr Rita Bakshi, International Fertility Centre is well equipped with all the latest instruments used to make these procedures comfortable for you. TESA is done due to following reasons:
- Sperm production is almost zero
- Untreatable obstruction of vas deferens.
- Birth defects like the absence of genital tract.
- Irreversible Vasectomy
